JOSE GOMEZ JR.
ARTIST & EDUCATOR
I am a student at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. Originally from Chicago, IL, I decided to gain new experiences by attending a school in a predominately rural area. I plan on receiving my BFA and Minnesota teaching license in 2020
My strong passion for helping others has inspired me to work with youth in art classrooms.
I am a firm believer in the growth mindset model and that everyone has hidden potential for growth.

I find inspiration for my art in my friends, family, nature, and thoughts that I interact with daily. I explore these interactions to find meaning in them and express them throughout my artwork. I often use my artwork as a form of therapy, helping me find peace in the images and techniques I use.
